81. American Physical Society Sees The Light: Will It Be The First Major Scientific Institution To...
The American Physical Society (APS) has signalled a dramatic turnabout in its position on "climate change" by appointing three notorious climate skeptics to its panel on public affairs (POPA).They are:Professor Richard Lindzen, formerly Alfred P Sloan Professor of Meteorology at Massachussetts Institute of Technology (MIT), a highly regarded physicist who once described climate change alarmism on The Larry King Show as "mainly just like little kids locking themselves in dark closets to see how much they can scare each other and themselves."

82. The weather prophets should be chucked in the deep end - Telegraph
Homeowners lumbered with useless swimming pools know precisely who they should blame....The great thing about flying into London is that you get bags of time to see the countryside below. The congestion at Heathrow is so bad that many passengers circle above the Home Counties for half an hour, allowing themselves to be penetrated by the splendours of Surrey while their planes spew thousands of tons of CO2 into the upper air....But then there was an extra spur – the new and unanswerable imperative to find a way of keeping wet and cool. For more than 20 years now, we have been told that this country was going to get hotter and hotter and hotter, and that global warming was going to change our climate in a fundamental way. Do you remember that? We were told that Britain was going to have short, wet winters and long, roasting summers. It was going to be like 1976 all over again, with streakers at Lord’s and your Mr Whippy melting before you could even lick it, and Hyde Park scorched into a mini Kalahari.

83. GREENPEACE ACTIVIST CALLS FOR CLIMATE CHANGE ‘DENIERS’ TO BE BEHEADED - Breitbart
A climate change advocate, believed to be a Greenpeace activist and Guardian contributor, has called for the beheading of so-called “climate change deniers”, arguing the world would be a better place without them. The comments are merely the latest in a long history of warmists advocating the killing of people who question global warming dogma.

84. Arctic ice melt IS a problem because Right-wing newspapers smell, explains Guardian climate expert
At the weekend my old mucker David Rose reported in the Mail On Sunday the shocking news that there is 60 per cent more sea ice at the Arctic than there was this time last year. So too did Hayley Dixon in the Telegraph. The implication of both pieces was that perhaps this global warming thing we've been hearing about ad nauseam this last couple of decades isn't quite the deadly threat the 'scientists' have been telling us it was; that indeed, maybe the more pressing worry ought to be global cooling.Luckily the Guardian's token Big Oil employee and environmental expert Dana Nuccitelli has stepped in to explain what the problem is. It turns out that both the Mail on Sunday and the Telegraph are utterly rubbish publications, staffed by lying liars whose bottoms smell of ploppy poo, and who just can't be trusted to report on science accurately.

85. When you're in a hole, George, stop digging – Telegraph Blogs
As Dan Hannan has noticed, the Moonbat has finally flipped.Snow, he is trying to tell us in all earnestness, is another sign that Man Made Global Warming is definitely happening. Nothing to do with solar minima or El Nino and La Nina or any of that reality-based nonsense. No, sirree. It’s definitely, definitely still our fault because of all that evil plant-food our factories have been pumping into the atmosphere. Weather is not the same as climate. Etc.

88. James Delingpole Interviews Myron Ebell: 'What They Want to do is Make you Poorer'
What is the best way to win the climate debate? Director of Global Warming and International Environmental Policy at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, Myron Ebell talks climate debate tactics with James. Is the starting point of the debate moral, scientific, or political? Why do the rank hypocrisy and the double standards of the green left fail to attract the attention of the mainstream media?

89. Climategate 2.0: Lawson squishes Huhne – Telegraph Blogs
Have you noticed that whenever our beloved Energy and Climate Change Secretary Chris Huhne speaks his lips never move, only his butt cheeks? It was the same again on BBC Question Time last night. "But Huhne, this is just arrant nonsense," you kept wanting to scream at the TV. "And either you know it's nonsense in which case you're a liar. Or you don't know it's nonsense, in which case you're more incredibly stupid, more badly informed and more ill-advised than any Minister of the Crown has any decency to be."

90. The Guardian goes all po-faced | Roger Helmer MEP
The Heartland Institute, a conservative US think-tank with a particular interest in climate change, has published a series of posters advertising its May 2012 Climate Conference in Chicago. The posters feature some of those who have argued the case for global warming — including Ted Kaczynski, the Unabomber; Charles Manson; and Fidel Castro. And the Guardian is so upset, it’s almost funny. My old nemesis Leo Hickman has had a real go about it. As usual, I notice that his blog piece consists mainly of quotations (including, of course, quotations from me), welded together by a thin mortar of originality. I don’t know how he gets paid for it.I have to say that I don’t think these posters are in very good taste, and if I were running Heartland, I shouldn’t have run the posters. But they’ve certainly got some attention. And given that some Warmists have proposed (apparently with straight faces) that climate sceptics should be subjected to Nuremburg-style trials for crimes against humanity, maybe they should not be surprised to get some robust views back in return.

91. Sir Patrick Moore, proud patriot, would never have got a job in the modern BBC – Telegraph...
The highest possible compliment you could pay Sir Patrick Moore, who has died full of years and honour, is that he would have never got a job as a science presenter with the modern BBC.First, he was too talented – a veritable renaissance man. Sir Patrick was a handy spin bowler, a talented composer and a virtuoso xylophonist who played a version of "Anarchy in the UK" in front of the Queen at a Royal Variety Performance as well as once duetting with Albert Einstein on the piano.Second, he knew too much about science – real science: in his case astronomy, which he had studied with the obsession of an autodidact, as opposed to the faux science of global warming which is the obsession of all modern TV scientists.

92. Sir Antony Jay: slash the BBC by two thirds! – Telegraph Blogs
The BBC's reporting of David Cameron's recent adventures in Europe has been a disgrace. Last night – following the example set by that very exemplar of quisling Europhile values the Today programme – the BBC's Ten O'Clock News managed to reiterate about half a dozen times its view that Britain had been left more "isolated" than ever by Cameron's eminently sensible decision not to sell his country's interests for a mess of pottage. To listen to Nick Robinson and co, you might actually have imagined that it was somehow a bad thing for Britain not to wish to shackle itself to the rotting corpse of the EU;

93. The Royal Society is a joke - Telegraph Blogs
I don't want to spoil the plot of my brilliant new book Watermelons – soon to be available in Oz, too, under the title Killing The Earth To Save It - but there's quite a funny bit in the middle (it actually made my wife laugh) where I compare the scientific achievements of the Royal Society with that of Oxford English graduate James Delingpole.Needless to say, Delingpole's achievements ("turned litmus paper blue by dipping in alkali – 1973") don't quite match up to those of the Royal Society's alumni ("designed St Paul's Cathedral; laid groundwork for classical mechanics; discovered law of gravity and three laws of motion…"). But the punchline is this: for all his inadequacies, Delingpole is a lot more trustworthy on "Climate Change" and "global warming" than the Royal Society. The reason for this is very simple: under its most recent three presidents, the Royal Society has abandoned its traditions of scrupulous scientific neutrality in order to immerse itself in political activism.

95. CO2 Good; Climate Change Bunk; Greens are Raging Extremists, says Greenpeace Co-Founder
"Climate change" is a theory for which there is "no scientific proof at all" says the co-founder of Greenpeace. And the green movement has become a "combination of extreme political ideology and religious fundamentalism rolled into one."Patrick Moore, a Canadian environmentalist who helped found Greenpeace in the Seventies but subsequently left in protest at its increasingly extreme, anti-scientific, anti-capitalist stance, argues that the green position on climate change fails the most basic principles of the scientific method.
